Another Perfect Home

In case someone missed me, it’s been a busy few days. Good busy. Absolutely good busy, but yet, have not had time to update the blog and as I’m still in the midst of life and spring and, did I mention life? It’s been a week of birthdays and PTSA and work and PTSA and work and PTSA and stuff. Mia turned ten on Tuesday, my baby girl is now officially a tween. I have been working with a group of wonderful, smart women to start a PTSA for our new school. I have learned a lot, been drinking way too much coffee and enjoyed every moment of it, and then the work.

Had a glass of sparkling last night to celebrate a new sale, a beautiful home un in Hollywood Hills. It’s always a great feeling to be able to match a house with a family, and by matching, I mean instead of settling with something that’s a compromise, something almost great, really feeling that you found the perfect match for your clients. It’s an awesome feeling.

Having said that, I did my morning thing, dropped my offspring off at their school and drove to the house to put up my sold signs. The home looked stunning in the morning light with sunshine edging its way through the fog, and I could almost hear them enjoying their gorgeous yard in months to come. Drove to the office, printed out a few things for my clients, checked in with the lender, the escrow team and the listing broker. Made sure the home warranty got ordered and everything was in place for us to start our march toward closing.

Buying a home is a journey and everyone’s journey is different. It’s a growth process that requires sensitivity and listening skills as many times what is being said isn’t exactly what was meant. It’s scary to buy a home. We’re talking big money here, and legal documents and a whole lot of emotions. If I can ease all the fears caused by the unknown, make my clients feel listened to and lead the way, I have done what I’m supposed to be doing.

It’s sunny, it’s spring, it’s Thursday. What a perfect kinda day.
