Yesterday I got offered a job. I mean at least halfway for
reals, if not really. Not the random email solicitation that I get at least a
few times a week from another company that goes out to a gazillion brokers. No,
this was for me only, by a designated broker of a company that I have recently
worked with. He approached me by saying that he would love to hire me, because
great brokers are tough to find. I was flattered above and beyond. In this
industry your feedback comes from one’s clients, but it also comes from the
other side, the brokers you work with. A job offer is, I must say, a compliment
of the best kind.
I thanked for the compliment, and gently turned down the
offer. Coldwell Banker Bain is my home.
Today started with great news, my clients offer got accepted
and they are about to have a beautiful new home. A home that most of us only
dream about. It’s been a journey, it always is, but in the end, we found their
perfect home and to top it off, the timing ended up being perfect too. As
always after mutual acceptance, I’ve been working this morning sending emails
left and right. Writing timelines for everything that will happen between today
and closing and making sure the ball is rolling in the right direction. My
office – check. Escrow – check. Lender – check. Home warranty – check.
So, today is a good day, and I have been waiting for a
really great day for a while. I feel happy. I feel energetic. I’m ready to
tackle the next challenge. This afternoon I will be out with clients again,
looking for the next perfect fit.
