Okay, we had a great time. It was wet, but still awesome! I
read several books, knitted, played board games and had fun with the family.
But now it’s time to return to work. The calendar looks severely crazy for this
week, but good kinda crazy, the kind of crazy that is productive and fun.
Tomorrow we are closing on my clients’ new home. How
exciting is that! And what a beautiful home too, in a perfect location. I will
meet with them after we have recording numbers to give them the keys and a
little something. Yes, yes, yes, I know. I already got them their home warranty
through American Home Shield, but as that is not something you can hold in your
hand, and besides the re-key that comes with it, you don’t really wish to be
using at all, it’s really not a very visible couple of hundred bucks. It is an
important one though. So, I like to get a little something more tangible, yet
useful.
I have a couple of trainings, I have that closing I was
talking about, and I have my very first client event! I don’t consider myself a
public speaker as I really haven’t had that much practice, and I hope they will
forgive me for that. But I do have a lot to share when it comes to buying your
first home in a new country or state. Everything is different from what you are
used to, and you may have never heard about escrow even if you are born in the
US as not all states have escrow closing. The way the home loans work may be different
and most of all, the market itself is an unknown beast if you are completely new
to the area.
I’m really looking forward to my little event. I have a
couple of awesome speakers, and I have been working on what I’m gonna say for a
few weeks now. It’s going to be pretty laid back and simple, as I don’t want it
to be a lecture but rather an open discussion in a comfortable environment. We’ll
see how it goes! I will try and not babble too much.
I have my weekly volunteering in Mia’s class, and the usual
mom stuff. The stuff that just gets shoved into the schedule, like therapy
appointments, eye doctor for the one whom broke his glasses on our vacation,
and is due for another exam before we order his new glasses, and play dates,
sleepovers, girl scouts, plus all the other things mom’s take care of.
It is going to be an awesome week! I’m excited for all the
fun stuff, and ready to play again! I’m happy to be back!
