Past few days I’ve been practicing my summer skills, and
have to admit I’m still a tad rusty as I’ve been running three minutes late all
week long whether we’re talking about a business meeting or a doctor’s appointment.
For me, three minutes late is a disaster as I am the person who likes to be
there at least five minutes early, so I find myself sitting in the car, tapping
the steering wheel and frantically glaring the time as I well know that only a
pure miracle will take me there on time.
Tomorrow you’ll find me at Greenlake, the charming old
neighborhood that I was just writing about. You know, you could make it a
family day too! Our plan is to have everyone else go enjoy the lake while I’m
at my open house, and after, find a brewery and dinner together. Maybe some
shopping too. Greenlake really is a wonderful place and well worth a day trip,
even if you find that the cute homes are a tad too cute and crammed. You could stop
at the zoo too, as it’s just around the corner. Join me, and make it a day!
Friday starts just like Monday did. I could just copy and
paste what a wrote on Monday about me sitting at my desk with a cup of coffee,
writing, and Max reading his book about Titanic. Now, wait, it was an iPad on
Monday, but the sprinklers are still going outside and it’s nice and quiet. No
office today though. No meetings with clients, just us four. My three will be
going to a free workshop at the Microsoft Store at Bellevue Square for two
hours, and I’ll have those two hours to sip on coffee and send emails or maybe
check out the sales. Afterwards, maybe lunch and a park.
On Sunday, I’ll be in Bellevue with my mystery listing. I
know it’s a condo in a great location, but that’s just about it as the home has
not been listed yet. So, keep your eyes open for my surprise this weekend.
So far, I like how this summer is going!
