And then it’s gone. Yesterday I spent several hours sorting
everything back into their boxes, going through the ornaments and for once
making sure they are not a complete mess come the day after Thanksgiving once
again. The glass ornaments wrapped carefully inside bubble wrap, preschool
artwork in one pile, cardboard angels in another. I wiped the surfaces throughout
our home and reorganized our bookshelf. In the afternoon Christmas was all gone,
stored in our hearts and all the kodak moments in iCloud and OneDrive.
2019 is only a few days away and we’re getting ready to wrap
up 2018 just like that Christmas village and the glass ornaments. Hope you had
a great year, and that even in those moments you could have skipped if given
the choice, I hope you find the silver lining. We had a good year. A sturdy and
solid year. Professionally amazing, thanks to all of you, but also on personal
level, as a family we had a good year. The kids got a once in a lifetime
opportunity to start at our new elementary school in September, and next year
Mia will be among the first students stepping the hallways of the brand new
middle school opening in September of 2019. Mikko started a new job and life
has been good to us in every way. We have been blessed in so many ways
imaginable.
We are ready for the new, looking ahead. How it’s going to
unfold, that we don’t know yet, but may it be another good one. What we do know
is that it will begin with turning our downstairs into a construction zone
after the water damage during the last week of school. But even with the hassle
we were truly blessed by the skilled professionals doing the restoration and
drying the floors and now by our wonderful contractor. Our beautiful little
house will be even better in weeks to come.
What will 2019 have in hand for you? Will it be your first
home? Maybe downsizing or upsizing, making room for that new baby in your
future? Or is it going to be twins? Triplets? Is there a puppy or a kitten joining
your family? Are your children leaving for college or is there a wedding
planned for the coming year? New job maybe? Little and big changes, welcomes
and goodbyes. These last days of December are filled with hopes and wishes and new
opportunities of all kinds. It truly is an exiting time.
I’m looking forward to joining you on your journey next year.
Whether in friendship, as a fellow parent, a neighbor or as your broker helping
you through buying or selling your home. I’m here for you, how can I help?
